NOBERRYVIRUS - Results

The project led to the development of two certified real-time detection kits for known and newly discovered raspberry viruses, the long-term preservation of a five virus isolates (three raspberry viruses, two strawberry viruses), the storage of various varieties of healthy strawberries and raspberries in cryobanks and tissue cultures in the Czech Republic and Norway, and to the preparation of five methodologies and one utility model for the detection of selected viruses, cryopreservation of their isolates and cryopreservation therapy of plants.

The scientific results of the project were described in 7 scientific publications (additional 3 under-review and 2 being newly prepared) and another 34 contributions in proceedings, journals/newspapers, or scientific conferences.

The results are detailed in the list below.

Functional samples and isolates:

  • 2021: The isolate of RLBV (NPGZM – https://www.microbes.cz/collections/vurv.exe/search, functional sample no. UPOC-VIR-049)
  • 2022: Detection kit (RubusVir I qPCR-RG Detection Kit) – a kit for a real-time PCR detection of BRNV, RBDV, RpRSV, and SLRSV viruses in plant samples (available upon request at RBIP Holovousy)
  • 2023: Detection kit (RubusVir II qPCR-RG Detection Kit – a kit for a real-time PCR detection of RaEV1, RaRV1, and RYNV in plant samples (available upon request at RBIP Holovousy)
  • 2024: Cryopreserved viruses in their host plants - raspberry with RVCV, RBDV, RaRV1 viruses (CRI Cryobank, Czech Republic), strawberry with SVBV a SMYEV viruses (NIBIO cryobank, Norway)
  • 2024: Functional sample: Virus-tested strawberry and raspberry nuclear stocks is stored in the Jan Holub, Ltd. facilities, CRI Cryobank (Czech Republic) and Sagaplant (Norway)
